Romance Academy

Fusion is launching the first Romance Academy in Northern Ireland following on from its successful series on BBC2 and new Academies springing up across Britain.

The Romance Academy is a 15-week programme taking a holistic look at sex and relationships. The course explores areas such as:

• Health
• Confidence Building
• Building healthy relationships
• Sex
• Drugs and alcohol
• Peer pressure
• Communication skills
• Team Building
• Problem solving

We are committed to give young people the opportunity to:
Explore information about sex and relationships
Assess their decision-making and the consequences of their actions
Discover and build self-confidence
Evaluate their values and attitudes on a variety of issues
Grow in confidence in making decisions that support their values.

It is our hope that the young people will go on a journey of self-discovery and find themselves able to value themselves, others and their choices as a result.

Romance Academy will run throughout the year and more information can be obtained from Keith or Zara who are trained to run the course.
